Universal Graphics JFC Round 3B –   Drumhowan Senior exited the championship last Friday night the 2nd of September when they fell just short against Clones. As a result they will remain Junior for 2017- the first time they have remained in the same division in consecutive  seasons since 2005-06. Drumhowan open brightly, the first two scores from frees by Colm Lambe. Clones then picked up the tempo and kicked 4 points without reply but Drumhowan then turned the tables and hit 5 on the trot  the scores coming from Owen Quinn, Ciaran Duffy, Kieran Mooney and Colm Lambe to leave Drumhowan 3 points ahead in the 19th minute.However in the remaining time before half time Clones then kicked 5 unanswered  to leave the Half Time Score Drumhowan  0-7 Clones 0-9 .

 
Clones opened the 2nd half scoring to go 3 points ahead but Drumhowan then kicked a goal and a point by Owen Quinn and  Kieran Mc Elroy to go a point ahead but Clones were back on level terms  in the 10th minute. They soon went 4 points ahead with the goal scored. Tried as they main Drumhowan never could get in front coming to within a point, in the 59 minute with an Owen Quinn point.  Sarto Quigley then put Clones 2 points in front in the 63rd minute but  Drumhowan got  a free and Colm Lambe decided to put it over the bar on the assumption there was more time to be added. However the final whistle was blown in the resulting kick out with  Clones emerging victors on the full time score Clones 1-14 Drumhowan 1-13
