Drumhowan ended the first half of the league with a 7 point away victory over Oram on Friday last the 14th of June. Drumhowan went ahead in the 5th minute with a free from Colm Lambe to leave the score 0-2 to 0-1. While Oram levelled seconds later that was as good as it got. Drumhowan then scored 1-2 without reply with the goal coming from Kevin Mooney. Oram replied with a goal of their own before Aidan Duffy replied with another goal. Colm Lambe then kicked a free after Oram were reduced to 14 men after a 2nd yellow card. Further points from Kevin Mooney and Colm Lambe closed the scoring for the half to leave it double scores Drumhowan 2-8 Oram 1-4.
Kieran Mc Elroy got on the scoring board early in the second half but with Drumhowan struggling to use the extra man Oram got the next 3 scores on the trot. Drumhowan replied with points from subs Christopher Mc Ginnity and Ciarán Deery but then Oram had a mini revival and brought the margin down to just 4 with less than 5 minutes left. That was as close as it got as Drumhowan took over in the closing minutes kicking 4 points the last coming from a free from goal keeper Enda Duffy to leave the full time score Drumhowan 2-17 Oram 1-13. This win leaves Drumhowan in 2nd place. Next game will be against table toppers Éire Óg on Ulster Final Day Sunday 23rd at 12 noon.
