Oram 2-14 Drumhowan 1-11
After a facile win over Scotstown in the last round of the league Drumhowan were brought down to earth with a 6 point defeat away to Oram last Friday 11th of August
Drumhowan made a good start to the game with points coming from Kevin Quinn and Kevin Mooney before Ciaran Duffy scored a goal followed by a point to leave them 1-4 0-4 ahead after the end of the first quarter. Oram came more into the game and by half time despite a Niall Mooney point were ahead by 1 point on a scoreline of Drumhowan 1-6 Oram 1-7
Oram opened the second half strongly scoring another goal while Drumhowan only managed 2 points. Oram went 4 points ahead. Colm Lambe came on for his first appearance in 2017 and managed to score 2 point one from play and one free. However it wasn’t enough as Oram kept getting the points and by the time Kieran Mooney finished the scoring there was 6 in it with the full time score Oram 2-14 Drumhowan 1-11. Improvement needed for the championship next weekend.
