Irish Life Every Steps Counts and Ireland Lights Up 2024

Drumhowan GAA are delighted once again  to launch the Irish Life Every Step Counts  challenge in partnership with the GAA Community & Health department.  After such great numbers  in 2023  we are looking forward to many people returning  this year. This challenge is in support of club and community members getting active in January and February. In 2024 it will be over 5 weeks from Monday 8th January to Monday 12th  February

This year we will also integrate Ireland Lights Up as part of the challenge. Each Wednesday from the 10th of January till Wednesday 14th February   from 7-8.30pm  we will light up the club grounds so people can walk together to enhance our sense of community. Young and old are invited to this.   Hopefully this year will be the last year of walking on the grass as the club have submitted a Sports Capital Grant Application for the Walking Track and should know by late Spring / early Summer if the application has been successful.  With the grant and money saved from the OSkars a few years  back  the project will be able to proceed.

Please also let our  Acting Healthy Club Officer Noel Duffy   know at noelduffy77@gmail.com  that you have registered  so you can be put on a mailing list to be kept updated.
