Platinum Tanks RFC Crawley Cup Semi Final

Drumhowan 2-11 Inniskeen 3-11

Drumhowan Bs made the journey to Páirc Grattan last Friday 31st May to take on the locals in the semi final of the Crawley Cup. Micheal Duffy  opened the scoring with a free  and JP O’ Neill doubling it in the 6th minute.  Inniskeen then hit 2 points before Niall Duffy opened his account  at the end of the 1st quarter.  2 further points put three in it before Inniskeen hit back with a point. Micheal Duffy then hit another free to close Drumhowan’s scoring for the half with Inniskeen hitting two to leave the bare minimum in it at half time- Drumhowan 0-6 Inniskeen 0-5

Inniskeen opened the 2nd half strongly with 3 unanswered points before Drumhowan hit back with points.  However Inniskeen  then got 2 goals in  a four minute spell to put 6 in it and Drumhowan were now facing an uphill battle. Frees from Kieran Mooney and Micheal Duffy  left only 4 in it with 10 minutes left but the killer blow came in the 21st minute when Inniskeen kicked a 3rd goal to leave 7 in it.  Drumhowan then got back in the game with two goals one from sub Ciaran Deery who was harshly sent off minutes later . The 2nd came from Kieran Mooney with a penalty rebound to leave only one it with 4 minutes left. Inniskeen however kicked the next 2 scores  to leave a goal in it  with Micheal Duffy scoring a free in injury time but Inniskeen finished the scoring to leave the full time score Drumhowan  2-11 Inniskeen 3-11
