Drumhowan finished second in Group One of the JFC after a strong second-half performance away to eventual championship winners Seán McDermotts. The Seáns went into this one on the back of an impressive result at table-toppers Clones, but goals by Joseph Duffy and Liam McGuirk led Drumhowan to their third win of the group stage. The sides were level five times in the first half, but Drumhowan never trailed after the restart.
