2 goals in the first quarter of the game proved decisive as Éire Óg ran out winners in this game played in sunny Páirc Mhic Eoin last Sunday 23rd July. Drumhowan fielded short a number of regulars and Éire Óg two goals came from a lobbed ball that got over goal keeper Enda Duffy and this was shortly followed by a penalty goal. Drumhowan’s scorers in the first half came from Kieran Mooney who opened our account in the 13th minute and this was followed by points from Aiden Quinn, Michael Atkinson and a Mark Mc Cabe free to leave the half time score Drumhowan 0-4 Éire Óg 2-6
Drumhowan started the 2nd half brightly with a Mark Mc Cabe goal but things didn’t get much better during the 2nd half as from then towards the end of the game it was basically points exchanged with frees scored by Mark Mc Cabe and Ciaran Duffy and a single point from play coming from Aidan Duffy.
