Eurotech JFL – last Sunday Drumhowan took on Toome in Round 7 of the League. With the good weather a fair crowd was in attendance at Páirc Mhic Eoin to witness Drumhowan’s second victory in the trot. Kevin Mooney opened the scoring with a point in the 1st minute. Scores in the 1st half also came from Kieran Mooney, Mark Mc Cabe , David Millar and Niall Mooney with the goal coming from Mark Mc Cabe on the strike of half time to leave the score Drumhowan 1-8 Toome 0-8 at the break. This was a cushion Drumhowan kept for most of the second half with John Paul O Neill and Anthony Mulligan also getting in on the scoring. Toome pulled it back to two points in the third minute of injury time but sub Colm Lambe made sure of the victory when he scored a goal from the penalty spot deep into injury time to leave five in it. Then Kevin Mooney hit over a point in the ninth minute of injury time to leave the full time score Drumhowan 2-16 Toome 0-16. ( The ref didn’t record this score!)
