Platinum Tanks RFL Division 2 Round 7 – Drumhowan 1-8 Tyholland 0-11 Played in Páirc Mhic Eoin before a very small crowd last Sunday the 12th of June the B’s played out their second draw in the competition. In a low scoring first half Drumhowan only scored 3 points 1 each from Mark Mc Cabe, John Paul O’ Neill and Michael Atkinson. Tyholland kicked double that to leave the half time score Drumhowan 0 – 3 Tyholland 0-6. Tyholland opened the 2nd half scoring to go four points ahead. However Drumhowan then upped their game and eventually went in front thanks to a Michael Atkinson goal laid on by Aidan Duffy in the 12th minute. Drumhowan went three points ahead with 15 minutes left but Tyholland kicked two quick points to leave the bare minimum in it with 10 minutes left. Both teams spurned opportunities in the final ten minutes until Tyholland eventually kicked the equaliser in the 30th minute and that was how it remained with the full time scoreline Drumhowan 1 – 8 Tyholland 0-11

Universal Graphics JFC Round 1A – Drumhowan take on Toome in Round 1A of the championship this Sunday evening the 19th of June at 5.30pm in Clontibret as the first game in a double header. All support will be welcome.
Gerry’s Prepared Veg U14 Division 3 – The U14’s lost to Cremartin on Thursday night last in a high scoring league encounter with the full time scoreline Cremartin 11 -10 Drumhowan 8-11. Attention now turns to this Friday night the 17th of June when we travel to Aughnamullen to take on the locals in the championship semi final. Throw in is 7.30pm and best of luck to the team and management against the league table toppers.
Gerry’s Prepared Veg U12 Div 3 – Aughnamullen 2-8 Drumhowan 1-11 – It ended all square on Saturday last in Aughnamullen. This was a game of two halves as a more determined Aughnamullen side stormed into a 7 point half time lead. However the Drumhowan boys dominated the second half and with a much better performance and emerged with a deserved draw. With only one player overage for next season this young Drumhowan side are competing well so far in the competition. We also had an important home game against Aghabog on Wednesday June 15th. Next game is away to Seans on Saturday June 25th at noon.
U10 – Go games Blitz in Rockcorry on this Thursday night. All players in Rock for 6.45 and it will finish at 8.45pm.
U8 s – This group took part in Go Games in Rockcorry on Saturday morning last. We had a number of players making their debut and everyone performed well. They had games against Tyholland ,Rockcorry and Clones. Keep practising those kicking and catching skills at home.
Sports Day – Drumhowan Community Group are holding a family fun day on this Sunday starting at 2pm. There will be lots of novelty events along with races and football. All our Under 8 and 10 Players should be at the pitch for 2pm and they will have games against local opposition.
Cúl Camps – The Camp in Ballybay will run from July 18th to 22nd. Parents are asked and advised to register early either by posting the form to Cloghan or else register online at https://www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie/booking/ rather than just turning up on the first morning. This way you will be guaranteed to get your gear and proper size at the camp.
Go Games – The Club Hosts host a double blitz for U8 & U10 on Thursday 23rd June from 7 – 9pm. We will need help on the evening and both pitches will be used for this event. Castleblayney, Aughnamullen and Donaghmoyne will provide the opposition.
Sympathy – the club would like to offer it’s sympathy to Tommy, John and all the girls on the death of Nancy Mc Ardle, their wife and mother.
