Eurotech JFL – last Friday night the 5th of May the senior fell to a heavy defeat  to the home team Seán Mc Dermott’s. The game was basically all one way traffic.  After the end of the first quarter Seáns had run into a 1-3 to 0-1 lead the sole point coming from the boot of Owen Quinn. However things didn’t get much better in the second quarter with only a Ciarán Duffy point to leave the half time score Drumhowan 0-2 Seán Mc Dermotts 1-9 to 0-2. Seáns started the second half  with a bang scoring  2-1 in a little over 5 minutes before Drumhowan scored 3 unanswered points and Seáns remained scoreless for 10 mins. However they finished with a flourish to leave the full time score line Drumhowan 0-6 Sean Mc Dermotts 4-15

Platinum Tanks RFL Division 2A – Drumhowan took on Tyholland (last night)  Wednesday 10th of May in Páirc Mhic Eoin. Check social media for score.  Next match is down for Sunday 21st May  with an away game to Doohamlet with a 2pm throw in.
 
Connolly Meats MFL Division 1  – the minor suffered another defeat to Aughnamullen on Tuesday 2nd  Mayaway to Aughnamullen on a  3-20 to 4-7 scoreline. Last Tuesday the 9th of May in the last game before the UMFC & exam break they took on Killanny in Drumhowan. Please check social media for a score.
U16 Division 1  – last Thursday the 4th of May the U16s suffered a defeat away to Donaghmoyne  on a  4-18 to 1-9 scoreline. This week they have a bye and an away trip to Scotstown on the 18th in the last game before the exam break.
 
U14   Division 3 Patrick Emmetts 6-10  Drumhowan 3-12   The U14s went under to a strong Patricks Emmett’s side on Saturday last. That  completed round one of the league and the boys have performed well with seven out of ten points in the bag. Next game is in Toome on Saturday May 20th versus Clan Na Gael at 12pm.
 
U12 s The U12s have been placed in Division 2 of the Summer Leagues. This competition is to commence over this coming weekend with a game possibly next Monday evening so check Monaghan website for details later in the week.
U10  At the GR8 Go Games Blitz  the club fielded two teams in the blitz in Cloghan on Saturday morning last and both done well having three games each over the morning. On Monday evening this week we welcomed a fast skilful Donaghmoyne side to Mc Keown Park where a highly entertaining challenge game was played out on a full sized Under 12 pitch. Our team acquitted themselves very well.
U8  Go Games Blitz – This team is playing in Rockcorry on this Saturday morning. All players should be in Rockcorry for 9.45am and it will be over around 11.45. Wear gum shields and take a hoodie.
Tullycorbett Community games – Possible first game v Clontibret on this Thursday evening in Ballybay at 7pm. Light training session at 7pm Wednesday evening also in Ballybay.
John West Féille Peil na nÓg –  We now know that we will be hosting St Peter’s Dunboyne from Meath on June 23rd and 24th. This is the home club of former Meath and legendary manager Sean Boylan who will be around on the weekend. No doubt all in the club will extend a warm welcome to our Meath Visitors. In order to kit out our team and look the part we are looking some sponsorship to help offset costs. Any donation would be very much appreciated and can be given to the team management or any committee member.
Confirmation / Communion –  Congratulations to all those who made confirmation last weekend and to those who will make it and First Communion over the next number of weekends.
Friends of Drumhowan – The annual subscription of €120 is now due. Payment can be handed in at the pitch on next Monday evening 15th May between 7 – 8pm to the treasurer  Philip Mc Adam or to your local collector.

Scór All Ireland Final – regretfully due to unforeseen circumstances the quiz team were forced to withdraw from the competition in Belfast last Saturday 4th May.
