Club Notes 9/1/24

Annual Vehicle Run. Thank you to everyone who participated in and supported our Annual Vehicle run last Sunday.  We had a great turn-out with over 80 vehicles.  The children’s run brought a lot of excitement to the event.  All monies raised go towards community and facilities development between the Community group & the GAA club.  To view videos and photos of the day, be sure to check out our social media, as well as Castleblayney News M.B. page.

Club Draw tickets were distributed this week to committee members and players – €10 each.  Prizes include a brand-new car, €10k cash prize and various GAA ticket packages.  Draw takes place on 27 March.  All monies raised stay in the club which is needed more than ever.

Irish Life Steps Challenge and Ireland Lights Up in conjunction with RTE’s Operation Transformation commenced this week.  Every Wednesday from 7pm in the training field, the lights will be turned on until 8.30pm.  All members of the community are encouraged to meet up and walk together.   For the step challenge, the club will attempt to collectively walk 4,000km to be entered into a provincial draw to win a €2,500 sports voucher for the club.

U12s flexibility & movement training with Dessie Ward starting back this week, Thursday at 7 p.m.  This will continue for a duration of 8 weeks.

Bingo returns to the Community Centre on Friday, 9 February with a €1,000 jackpot which must go on the night.  A fun night out for all the family.  Keep an eye out on social media for further details.
