Mallon Foods U17 Division 2 League Cup Final – The Curtain comes down on the 2018 football season when St. Patrick’s U17 team take on near neighbours Aughnamulllen in the final this Sunday 28th October at 11am in Blackhill. This follows their 7-11 to 1-11 semi final victory over Emyvale in Ballybay last Sunday 21st. We urge all to come out and support the team.
Spraoi Scór – Last Saturday 20th October the club took part in the Spraoi Scór County final. Congratulatios to Andrea Sherry who won the Solo Singing following a tough competition. Also victorious were the set dancers of Louise Duffy, Fiona Markey, Maresa Mallon, Kayla Mc Dermott, Andrea Sherry, Aoibheann Sullivan and Joseph Lennon. Hard luck to the quiz team of Andrea Sherry, Louise Duffy, Joseph Lennon and Fiona Markey. Scór na nÓg will take place in November. If interested in competing please contact Pauline Grogan.
Ulster U14 Blitz – The U14s travelled to Magherafelt last Saturday to the Meadow Bank Arena to take part in an Ulster U14 Blitz Indoor 9 a side . The team had matches against Aghaloo-Tyrone, Desertmartin – Derry, Aghaderg -Down and Glen Ravel- Antrim. After going through these games they played Desermartin in the final and ran out winners. Well done to all the players who enjoyed a great mornings football in the very impressive facilities.
Panel on the day was. Conor , Tiernan, Killian, Tristan, Jason, David , Johnathan, Jerome and Martin. Another Blitz takes place on Saturday 24th November at the same venue.
Indoor Programme– The annual Indoor training for ages 5 to 9 takes place on each Saturday in November in The Recreation Centre from 12.30 to 1.30pm. All players should wear runners and take their ball, water, gum shield and one euro to cover some of the hall costs. It commences this Saturday so see you all there for 12.20pm and new players very welcome.
Congratulations to Club Referee and former Chairperson – our resident Dub David Hurson who took charge of the Intermediate Championship Final between Doohamlet and Sean Mc Dermotts last Sunday 21st October.
