Gerry’s Prepared Veg U12 Div 2 Shield Final – Pride of place this week goes to the U12 team. They play Truagh in the final this Friday night the 7th of August in Clontibret at 7-30pm. Best of luck to all the players and management. We would appeal for all parents, members and supporters to turn out in large numbers to cheer on the team. In the league game there was only a point between the teams so a good tight game is expected.
Monaghan Electrical IFL – Last Saturday we took on our near neighbours Doohamlet in a star game. In a game that ebbed and flowed throughout we narrowly came out on top to secure a valuable two points. `The goal scored by Ciaran Duffy and the majority of points coming from the boot of Mark Mc Cabe. The full time score was Drumhowan 1- 11 Doohamlet 1- 10 Next game in the league is not scheduled till September as the championship throws in on Sunday 16th of August (this is of course dependant on the All Ireland Quarter Final result at the weekend.)
Minor Football League Div 1 Cup – St Patrick’s Minor Team had a good win over Truagh on Tuesday 28th July last with the full time score St. Patrick’s 6 – 19 Truagh 1-3 with the final game in the league away to Magheracloone on Tuesday 18th August. A win will secure Division 1 Cup Final place.
Maguire International Div 1 MFC – the semi final of this competition takes place next Tuesday 11th August in Carrickmacross at 7pm when St Patrick’s will take on Donaghmoyne. All support will be most welcome.
Gerry’s Prepared Veg U16 Div 1 Shield – last Thursday 30th July St Patrick’s defeated Donaghmoyne on a full time score line of 6-12 to 2-5. This Thursdy night the 6th of August it’s away to Inniskeen where a win will secure a Shield Final place provisionally fixed for Thursday 20th August.
Gerry’s Prepared Veg U14 Div 2 – last Saturday 1st August we were forced to concede the game to Donaghmoyne due to players being injured and on holidays. Next game in this competition is on Thursday 13th August at 7.30pm away to Magheracloone.
Good Luck – to the Monaghan Senior team especially Enda and Francis as they attempt to secure an All Ireland Semi Final when they take on Tyrone this Saturday in the Quarter Final in Croke Park at 4pm.
