Scór na nÓg – All Ireland Final
The Instrumental Group will take part in the All-Ireland Final in Castlebar on Saturday 1st March. The Quiz team of Steven and Colm Mc Mahon, Finbarr Brennan and Patrick Duffy  will now also compete on Saturday 1st March also. Their competition will take place in GMIT at 12 noon while the rest of the Scór competition will take place in the Royal Theatre later that afternoon.
 
Juvenile Presentation and Registration  Night – will take place this Sunday 9th February at 6.30pm. We will honour our All-Ireland Scór na nÓg Instrumental Champions from 2013 and also wish them and the Quiz team the best of luck in Castlebar. There will also be presentations to other Scór Co. Champions. Football wise the U14s will receive their winning and runner up medals while the U12s will get their runner up medals. Guests of Honour will be the Anglo Celt, Fr. Murray Cup and our neighbour All-Star Colin Walshe.  All parents and children(of any age) supporters and senior players are encouraged to attend. Sunday will also provide an opportunity for all members to register and sign up to Friends of Drumhowan for the 2014 season. Better to get it out of the way early in the season! 
 
Allianz League – Monaghan will continue their 2014 Div 2 campaign this Sunday  in Clones against Meath. Season tickets can be bought  at www.gaa.ie/seasonticket  These cost €85. For an extra €50 you can purchase Club+ This entitles to you free entry for All Club Championship Games within Monaghan for 2014. New this year is the advance purchase of tickets before a league game. If an adult buys a ticket at any Centra or Super Valu store orwww.tickets.ie  up to the day before the game they will receive it for €10. Ticket prices on the day will be €15 for adults , €10 for students and OAPs . All U16s are free.
 
First Aid Course – All coaches of all teams within the Club are required to undertake a basic Sports First Aid Course. This will take place on Tuesday 11th February at 7pm in the Community Centre.
 
Coaching Courses – There will be a new rules presentation  on Thursday 6th February in Cloghan from 7.30 – 9pm. Pat Mc Enaney  will host. On Monday 10th February Tony Scullion  and Kevin Mc Guigan will give an outdoor GPS evidence based observation session demonstrating how to amend training activities to increase or decrease intensity. It will last from 7.30 to 9pm.
 
U16 and Minor Training – will commence this Thursday 6th February on Ballybay Astro turf. It will start at 8pm for an hour. Please bring runners.
 
U10 Indoor Go Games commence  this  Saturday 8th February in Ballybay Recreation Centre. Players should be there for 10-50 and it will be over by 12-50. Please be togged out and wear runners. This internal mini league is only open to 9 and 10 year olds.
 
JFL will commence on Sunday 23rd March this year while Junior Bs will commence a few weeks before this.
