U10 Monaghan Harps Tournament – The U10s took part in this tournament last Saturday morning. They were placed in the Shield competition in a group along with Mullahoran and Sean Mc Dermotts. They had a win over Mullahoran but lost out to the Seans on a scoreline of 0-5 to 0-1. This now left them in the semi final against Emyvale who topped the other section. The team upped their previous performances by 100% to run out winners by eight points. In the final the team were up against Sean Mc Dermotts again and they knew serious improvement was needed from the earlier encounter. However in the final it was a different Drumhowan team as they tackled like tigers and scored some excellent goals and points to win out on a scoreline of 3-5 to 0-6 in what was an excellent all round team performance with subs coming on and playing their part also. Team captain Tom Doherty then lifted the Mick Farrell Shield on behalf of his very excited team mates. Well done to the panel of players, management and supporters who cheered the team on.
