Senior Team- Played Blackhill on Sunday last. Drumhowan led by 1 point at half time with a score line of 6 points to 5. Drumhowan went on to win this intense game by 1 point with Kieran Mooney scoring the winning point. Enda Duffy saved a crucial penalty which led to Drumhowan’s win with Kevin Mooney contributing greatly throughout the game. Scorers include Colm Lambe 6 points, Kieran Mooney 4 points, Kevin Mooney 2 points, Niall Mooney 1 point and Anthony Mulligan 1 point. Final score Drumhowan 14 points, Blackhill 1-10. They boys will now play away to Aghabog next Sunday 8th at 2pm.
Reserves- Our Reserve team played Carrick last night, Wednesday 4th July, match report will be included in next week’s notes.
Intermediate Championship- The championship game between Corduff and Rockcorry will be played in Drumhowan this Saturday 7th July at 7pm. All stewards are asked to be at the field for 6pm.
Minors – St Pats played Inniskeen on Tuesday night in the league semi-final. With the county minors in the Ulster Final the Championship has been put on hold till August.
U-16 – This team had a good win over Clones last week in an overall patchy performance. Management will be hoping for more consistent displays from this squad as the season progresses.
U-12 – Drumhowan play Killanny away on Saturday at noon.
Go Games – Our under 8 and 10 teams headed off to Tyholland to take part in a blitz on Thursday night last. Despite the bad weather we had a full turnout of players. They had games against Tyholland, Aghabog and Currin and both teams performed well. Thanks to all players and supporters who attended and to the Tyholland club for their hospitality and organisation. This weekend our under 8 squad are in Cloghan for a blitz on Saturday July 7th. All players to be in Cloghan for 11.45 and they will be finished for 1.45 . The following Saturday July 14th our Under 10 team is in Cloghan also.
Kelloggs Gaa Cul Camps –  The camp will run in Ballybay from July 16th – July 20th. Application forms on line at Monaghan Gaa or from any of our underage coaches.
Sympathy- The club would like to express their sympathies to the Sullivan family, Latton on the death of their brother James who was laid to rest on Tuesday morning in Newtowncunningham, Donegal. James wore the no. 2 jersey for Latton for many years. The club wishes to express their deepest sympathies to the Murnaghan family on the death of Harry who passed away last week.
