Ulster Club- Drumhowan will face Downings in the Ulster Club Championship this Sunday 4th November at 12.45pm in Clones. Please ensure to come out and show your support to the boys and management who have worked hard all year to get to this stage.
Good Luck- The club would like to wish fellow parishioners Ballybay good luck in their Ulster Club Senior game against Kilcoo which will take place after the Drumhowan game at 2.30pm in Clones. Good luck also to our neighbours Doohamlet who play Laccan in Ballybay on Sunday in the Ulster Club Intermediate game at 12.45pm.
Spraoi Scor– Drumhowan claimed four out of the 8 titles in Spraoi Scor in Sean Mc Dermot’s Sports Complex, Threemilehouse on Friday night last. Congratulations to all who represented the Club so ably. There was great applause when each of the winners were announced – Musical Group of Aodhan Brennan, Megan Treanor, Conor Quinn, Sinead Grogan, Lee Treanor; Niall Grogan with his recitation “The Sick Note; the Novelty Act team of Sinead Grogan, Megan Treanor, Lauren Duffy, Orlaith Brennan, Ciara Mc Adam, Aoife Duffy, Conor Quinn, Lee Treanor entertained the audience with their sketch “The Dating Agency” and the Set Dancing Team of Sinead Grogan, Megan Treanor, Orlaith Brennan, Angie Mc Guirk, Lauren Duffy, Donna Mc Adam, Ciara Mc Adam, Lorna Mc Guirk. Hard luck to the other competitors who gave a great performance on the night, but were unlucky not to get the judges nod – the Figure Dance Team of Rebecca Brennan, Ann Marie Lavelle, Lorna Mc Guirk, Chloe Treanor, Orlaith Brennan and Niall Grogan; Donna Mc Adam, Solo Singing; newly-formed Ballad Group of Katie, Aoife & Shauna Lennon, Catherine & Sean Walsh and the Quiz Team of Sinead Grogan, Aodhan Brennan, Joseph Duffy who displayed great knowledge but were outwitted by a team from Carrickmacross. Spraoi Scor is certainly very popular competition and this was evident by the capacity crowd that attended from all Clubs in Co Monaghan. Pauline Rooney, paid tribute to all the competitors who took part, remarking that the standard of competition was getting higher each year.
