Fixtures and Results
Seniors – The Eurotech JFL semi-final took place last Saturday 27 July in Toome. Despite having a lot of possession, we didn’t make it count on the scoreboard and lost on a 1-10 to 0-10 scoreline. That finished the league for 2024. A big thank you to Cathal Mooney who sponsored food and refreshments after the match. The championship will commence with an away trip to Threemilehouse to take on Seans on Saturday 10 August.
U16s – Next game is at home to Rockcorry this Thursday 1 August (tonight).
U14s – Last Thursday 25 July the U14s were away to Rockcorry and came out on top on a 4-14 to 2-9 scoreline. Next game is this Saturday 3 August with the parish derby against Ballybay, throwing in at 11am in Páirc Mhic Eoin.
U12s – Last Saturday 27 July the u12s drew away to table toppers Doohamlet on a 1-17 to 4-8 scoreline, with Drumhowan only getting the one goal. Next game is at home to Aughnamullen on Saturday 10 August
Rounders – The ladies are away tonight, Thursday 1 August to Carrickmacross. where they take on the locals in the final group game.

Drumhowan Cubs’ and Academy – takes a break this Saturday for the bank holiday weekend. They return on Saturday 10 August for their first ever game!! Thanks to Orla and Activ8 Energies for providing the inflatable that was used for valuable target practice.
Car wash fundraiser The u12 boys are organising a car wash at the Community Centre this Saturday 3 August from 10am to 3pm to help fundraise for their team event. Cars are €7 while Vans and SUVs are €10. Teas/coffees and treats also available to purchase whilst you wait. Please come along and support. Keep an eye out on social media for more details over the next few days.
Draw for All Ireland tickets – congratulations to Damien & Rosemarie Mc Quillan and Mark Ross who were our winners of the All Ireland Football Tickets.
Barbeque – the Summer Barbeque organised by the community group will take place on Saturday 10 August from 7 pm followed by music by The Man in Black. Everyone welcome and championship game is at 4pm so no excuses!
Sympathy – the club would like to extend its sympathy to Kevin Curran and family on the death of Kevin’s sister Aideen Worner who was laid to rest in Liverpool recently. Sympathy is also extended to the Lennon family, Lisquigney on the death of Cassie and to the family of Willie Vincent, Corfad who also passed away. May their souls rest in peace.
