Club Notes 3/12/24

AGM – The AGM for 2025 took place last Thursday 28 November.  The reports reflected on a successful season  for the senior team  where they won the JFC for the 7th time but captured the Liam Stirrat Cup for the first time. The meeting began with a moment’s silence  to reflect on the death of two of our presidents Frank Connolly and Hughie Duffy who passed away in July and August. The main reports on the night were from secretary Catherine Mulligan  who reflected back month by month on the main events of the year. Treasurer Claire Reilly then gave a detailed report on the finances of the club and while expenditure rose, income did also so there was an operating profit  thanks in no small part to the JP Mc Manus donation earlier in the year. Then it was Seamus Duffy’s turn to give the chairperson’s address where he looked back on 2024 and looked forward to 2025 when the senior  team will be playing Intermediate football. After all reports were read it then came to the election of officers for 2025 where there were few changes.
