Club Notes 28/9/21
Seniors: Our seniors had a win against Oram on Saturday last with a scoreline of 1-12 to 11 points. They have now progressed to the Semi Final of the League where they will face Toome which has been fixed for Sunday 14th November. They face Aghabog this Saturday 2nd Oct in the Championship at 5pm. Please come out to show your support to players and management.

U17s: St Pats U17s had a win against Latton in the Championship on Sunday last. Final score 4-13 to 4-9. The Semi-Final is scheduled to take place the weekend of the 9th/10th October. More details to follow next week.

U15s: Our U15s have their next Championship game this Saturday in Drumhowan V Cremartin at 11. Please come out to show your support to the players and management.
U13s: Our U13s played a challenge match against Cremartin on Sunday last. Many thanks to Cremartin for the game. The knockout Cup Competition is scheduled for the weekend of the 9th/10th October, more details to follow next week.
Rural Social Scheme at Drumhowan– This scheme might suit a farming family or any member of the family – You get paid to do about 19 hours work per week around the Community Centre and grounds. If you think you might qualify or need any more information contact either Gerry Finnegan or Tommy Mc Ardle
Bills– Please note all bills must have been sent to Treasurer Philip McAdam by 30th September.

Monaghan GAA Ticket Draw: Anyone who has sold/wishes to buy a ticket for the Lanzarote Draw please send in money/stubs by this weekend for the early bird draw.

Family Rounders Day: Drumhowan Geraldines would like to thank Monaghan Sports Partnership funding for allowing 17 families to come together to play a Family Rounders day at Pairc Mhic Eoin. The senior ladies rounders team captained, coached and refereed all the games for a very fun day. Well done to all involved.
Playr-Fit: Our Playr-Fit club gear shop is now live! The shop will remain open for 4 weeks. All orders will be individually packed for collection at the club. Smoke Free Campus: Drumhowan GAA is committed to reducing the use of tobacco, nicotine and of harmful chemicals found in vaping (e-cigarettes) due to its proven harmful health effects by adopting the GAA’S Smoke & Vape free policy.  As a result, from the 1st of September  Páirc Mhic Eoin and it’s surrounds will become a smoke free campus. It applies to the entire GAA club grounds, both internally and externally including: Buildings and residences, Doorways and entrances, Walkways, parkland, roads and car park, Pitches and sports facilities (including spectator spaces),  Balconies, outdoor seating and club/bar facilities, Cars parked on club grounds. There are NO designated smoking areas.This policy applies to all members, officials, coaches, players, parents, visitors and volunteers. We believe that we are setting a positive example for the community with genuine concern for everyone’s health.

Covid 19 Notice:  We ask everyone to redouble their efforts regarding Covid 19 Regulations. Please follow all guidelines- use hand sanitiser upon entry to and exit from the grounds, observe social distancing etc. Please ensure all players submit their health questionnaires before all training sessions and matches.
