U17/U15s- Training continues Thursdays 8pm in Dessie Ward’s Gym.

U13s/U11s– Training will resume in the coming weeks so make sure the boots are ready. More details to follow in next week’s notes.

Juvenile Presentation Night– Make sure to keep free Sunday 16th Feb when we will have our Presentation Night. Presentations will be made to our All-Ireland Feile winners, our U13 Double winners and the St. Pats U17 winners will also be recognised on the night. Registration will also take place on the night and both new and current players must be registered so please ensure to attend. More details will follow next week.

Ireland Lights Up with the GAA– The floodlights on the pitches continue to be turned on from on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7-8.30pm. All club members are invited to come and walk at any point during these times. Please spread the word. For further details contact Noel Duffy on 086 – 1931933

National Club Draw – A reminder for everyone selling tickets for the National Club Draw, tickets must be sold by the first week in February.

Well done– Well done to the Monaghan U20 team especially Drumhowan player Daragh McElearney on their win against Longford on Saturday last.

Club Monaghan Half Time Draw– Our club has been chosen to run the half time draw in the Monaghan V Tyrone game in Sunday 2nd Feb. Plenty of help is needed for this, if anyone is available please contact Gerry Finnegan on 0866997376.

Committee Meeting- There will be a committee meeting this Thursday 30th January. This meeting will have a number of key issues covered including our role in the half time draw on Sunday so attendance is essential.

Fiji Fundraising– Local girls Laura McPhillips (Latton) and Ciara Quinn (Drumhowan) have been accepted for a once in a lifetime trip to Fiji to volunteer and travel for two weeks in July with VESA. They will be working to improve school facilities, build new resources and help those in need. To raise funds, the girls will climb Croagh Patrick this March. Sponsorship cards to support in fundraising can be found in many businesses around Ballybay, and donations can also be made online to the GoFundMe page titled “2500 Feet for Fiji”. Any donation, small or large, would be greatly appreciated!”

Sympathy– The club wishes to express their sympathy to the Connolly family, Doohamlet and the Gorman family on the death of Sally Connolly. May she Rest in Peace. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.
