Eurotech Junior Football League – Drumhowan 1-10 Éire Óg 2-13

2 goals in the first quarter of the game proved decisive as Éire Óg ran out winners in this game played in sunny Páirc Mhic Eoin last Sunday 23rd July.  Drumhowan fielded short a number of regulars  and Éire Óg  two goals came from a lobbed ball that got over goal keeper Enda Duffy and this was shortly followed by a penalty goal. Drumhowan’s scorers in the first half  came from Kieran Mooney who opened our account in the 13th minute and this was followed by points from Aiden Quinn, Michael Atkinson and a Mark Mc Cabe free to leave the  half time score Drumhowan 0-4 Éire Óg 2-6

The Senior Team are out again this Sunday 3oth July when Scotstown are the visitors with a 12.30pm throw in.

Connolly Meats MFL Division 1  – The minors finished up their campaign last Tuesday 18th July with a  7-14 to 1-8 defeat against Magheracloone in Páirc Mhic Eoin. Despite a disappointing campaign  they fulfilled all their fixtures. The club would like to thank all the players for their commitment. Míle buiochas also must go out to the management team of Anthony Brennan, Sean Smyth, Stephen Drury and Damien Caraher.

Mallon Foods U16 Division 1  – Last Thursday 20th July the U16s had a good win in Ballybay over Scotstown on a full time scoreline St. Patrick’s 6-12 Scotstown 1-5.  This Thursday evening the 27th  they take on Castleblayney in the Quarter Final of the championship with a 7.30pm throw in.  All support will be welcome..

Manor Farm U14 Division 3   – The U14s  had a good win over a sporting Tyholland side on Saturday last in the league in what was the fourth meeting of the two teams this season. Full time scoreline was  Drumhowan 8-10 Tyholland 3-10. The  final league game is away to table toppers Patrick Emmetts on Saturday 12tth August.

 
Manor Farm U14  Division 3 Championship  – The U14s play Doohamlet away on Monday night next July 31st at 7.15pm in the semi final of the Championship. This will be a huge ask of the boys as a very big tall Doohamlet team beat us quite easily in the league a few weeks ago. We would ask for our supporters to come out in numbers and cheer on the boys In Doohamlet on Monday evening next. Best of luck to the team and management.
Gerry’s Prepared Veg U12 Division 2 –  The U12s  travel to Killanny this Saturday morning for the final league match. Please note the early start at 10.30am. All players should be in Killanny for 10am. The team have already qualified for the cup section where the top four teams will play off in a mini league to decide what two makes the final.
GR 8 Go Games – There is a double blitz for both Under 8/10 teams in Truagh on  Thursday evening the 3rd of August. All players should be in Truagh for 6.45pm.
U8  – The U8s  played Blackhill in an exciting match in Drumhowan on Monday evening. Well done to both sides.
Sympathy – is extended to all the Mc Elroy family on the death of Patsy who was buried in Annyalla yesterday Wednesday the 26th of July
Bon Voyage – to Andrea Mc Ginnity who has made the trip down under to Australia.
Congratulations to Stephen Mooney and Liz Conroy who were married last Friday 22nd in Woodford Galway  with a reception afterwards in the Radisson Blu, Galway city. Wishing the both of them many years of happiness.
