Eurotech JFL – Drumhowan made a poor start to the 2014 League when they succumbed to a defeat at home against Killanny on Sunday last the 23rd of March. Platinum Tanks RFL DIv 1B – The Bs will look to bounce back from an opening day defeat when they take on near neighbours Cremartin in Páirc Mhic Eoin on Sunday morning (30th March) at 12 noon. Please note the earlier throw in time due to Monaghan v Laois Game starting an hour earlier in Clones at 2pm

Mc Elvaneys Recycling MFL Div 1 – Due to the postponement of their first league game on Tuesday last(March 25th) they will open their campaign on Tuesday 1st April with a home game to Scotstown at 6.45 Please note that the minors will play in Ballybay this year.

Gerry’s Prepared Veg U16 Div 1 St Patrick’s will start with an away game to Corduff on Thursday 3rd April at 6.30pm. Their home games will be in Drumhowan this year.

Gerry’s Prepared Veg U14 Div 3 – On Saturday last 22nd March the U14s fell to an opening day defeat against Éire Óg. With 2 players injured and another on holidays a very young team was fielded and when a black card was received much of the game was played with 10 men as only the bare 11 were togged out. Full Time Score in Páirc Mhic Eoin was Drumhowan 5 -11 Éire Óg 7 – 12 . Next game will be on Saturday 5th April at 12 noon with an away game to Doohamlet.

Gerry’s Prepared Veg U12 Spring League Zone F The U12s will be looking for 2 wins out of 2 when they take on Doohamlet this Saturday 29th March at 12 noon in Doohamlet.
Training continues on Mondays and Thursdays at 7pm for U12 and U14s

Coaching for our Under 6 and 8 players, where the emphasis is on having fun and getting active, will continue on Monday evenings from 7-8pm indoors in Drumhowan Community Centre. New boys and girls always welcome. We had a great turnout last week. We would also appreciate if some parents could stay on and offer to help out. All children should wear tracksuits and runners and take a bottle of water with them.

Level One Children’s Award in football scheduled to take place on Friday the 28th and Saturday the 29th of March in Cloghan. Farney Academy Easter Camp.
Monaghan Coaching and Games Development will be running their annual 3-Day Easter Camp for both boys & girls between the 22nd and 24th of April in Pearse Park Ballybay between 10am to 2-30pm. Cost of the camp is €40 per child & €35 for additional children from the same family.The camp caters for boys and girls aged between 5-12 with a wide range of fun games and activities delivered at each camp with Gaelic Football, Hurling and Camogie being at the core of every activity.You can download a form on the Monaghan GAA website and please return your application form to Paul O’ Connor in Cloghan on or before the Thursday the 17th of April.

Go Games Referee – We are looking for referees for the Go Games Under 8/10. Each club must supply at least 2 referees. You must be over 14 and you will receive €15 per blitz. Anyone interested contact Donal Mc Adam.
