Scór na nÓg All Ireland Finals  – The day has finally arrived. This Saturday the 1st of  March 2014 Drumhowan GAA club will partake in 2 All Ireland Finals in Castlebar. The Quiz team of Stephen, Colm, Finbarr and Patrick will get the day under way in the GMIT complex at noon when they will compete against teams from 31 other counties in a new format of ten rounds of ten in a table quiz format.  Then in the afternoon the action moves to the Royal Theatre  where the Instrumental Group of Éimear, Stephen, Colm, Finbarr and Conor will attempt to keep the All Ireland Title they won last year in Derry. Good luck one and all.  Tickets for the Royal Theatre can be bought on the day with the action starting at 2pm.
Fixtures for the coming year have been announced.
U12s will start on Saturday 15th March
U14s will start on Saturday 22nd March
U16s will start on Thursday 3rd April
Minors will start on Tuesday 25th March
Junior Bs first out on Sunday 9th March
Seniors start their campaign on Sunday 23rd March
Junior Bs  are away to Tyholland on the 9th of March, home to Cremartin on the 30th March and away to Ballybay on the 5th of April
Seniors will start their campaign on Sunday 23rd March at home to Killanny.
Minors this year will play in Ballybay and their first game is away to Carrick on the 25th March while Scotstown will come to Ballybay on April 1st. Then on the 8th April we will travel to Donaghmoyne.
U12, 14 and 16 fixtures will be announced in the coming weeks.
All Players – remember it is now compulsory  to wear a mouthguard  in all training sessions and games. If not wearing one and you suffer a dental injury you are not covered by the GAA Insurance Scheme.
 
Executive Meeting  – will take place on Thursday 27th February (tonight) at 9pm. Please attend.
Under 12&14 training continues on both Monday and Thursday nights from 7-8pm. Great numbers turning out so far so keep up the good work.
Under 10 – We fielded three teams last Saturday morning in the indoor blitz in Ballybay where we had games against Castleblayney and Doohamlet. Our boys competed very well in all games and they really enjoyed the mornings football. There is no blitz on this Saturday but we have a final one on Saturday March 8th. All under 10 players are welcome to train with the U12 side on Mondays/ Thursdays at 7pm for next few weeks.
Sympathy to Kevin Carragher  and his wife Noreen on the death of Noreen’s brother Noel Mc Kenna last week.
