Eurotech JFL Drumhowan 2-11 Currin 2-16– After Round 4 of the 2017 Eurotech JFL Drumhowan still have to secure their first win. Last Sunday the 30th of April Drumhowan made a good start at home to Currin and after 14 minutes of the first half were 1-4 to 0-2 ahead – the goal coming from a well taken penalty by Mark Mc Cabe. However they then took their foot of the pedal and didn’t score for the remainder of the half with Currin kicking an unanswered 7 point to go into the lead with the half time score Drumhowan 1-4 Currin 0-9.
Drumhowan opened the 2nd half well with two frees scored by Mark Mc Cabe to level the score. However Currin then scored 1-3 without reply before frees from Mark McCabe and Ciaran Duffy left 4 in it. Scores were exchanged but with only a few minutes left Currin still were 5 ahead before an Owen Quinn goal left only 2 in it going into injury time. However there wasn’t to be an fairytale ending with Currin getting a goal with the last kick of the game to leave the full time score Drumhowan 2-11 Currin 2-16

Platinum Tanks RFL Division 2 A – The Bs next game is at home in Páirc Mhic Eoin when Tyholland will be the visitors next Wednesday 10th May with a 7.45pm throw in.
Connolly Meats MFL Division 1 – The minors played well last Tuesday 25th May but the visitors were just too good getting goals at vital stages. The Full time score in Drumhowan ended St. Patrick’s 2-7 Inniskeen 5-8 The minors played near neighbours Aughnamullen away last Tuesday the 2nd of May at 7.30pm. Round 7 and the final round before the exams will be a home game to Killanny in Drumhowan next Tuesday 9th May at 7.30pm
U16 Division 1 Last Thursday the 27th of April the U16s made it two wins in a row when they overcame Clan na Gael on a full time scoreline of St. Patrick’s 3-8 Clan na Gael (Oram/Tyholland) 0-10.This Thursday the 4th of May the U16s will take on Donaghmoyne away at 7.30pm
U14 Division 3 – T\he U14s will attempt to continue their unbeaten run when they take on the other unbeaten team in the division Patrick Emmetts. Throw in at this point is 12 noon in Drumhowan
Gerry’s Prepared Veg U12 Spring League Final – the U12s had a good win over Donaghmoyne last Friday night the 28th of April. FT Score – 0- 21 to 0-9 They now wait to see what division they will play in.
U10s all county GR8 Go Games will take place in Cloghan this Saturday the 6th of May. All parents will receive a text later in the week with details.
U8s GR 8 Go Games – last Saturday Drumhowan hosted an U8 blitz with teams from Truagh, Cremartin and Donaghmoyne.
Meet Your County Heroes – As with previous years Monaghan GAA will be hosting an Open Morning (change from evening) where supporters will have an opportunity to meet and greet the Senior Players prior to their Ulster Senior Championship Preliminary Round v Fermanagh on May 20th.
This will take place this Saturday 6th May in Cloghan at 10.30am until approximately 12 noon. Supporters will have the opportunity to get their photo taken with the players, get their autographs. There will also be the opportunity to buy Monaghan merchandise.

For those attending GR8 U10 Go Games blitz between 9.30 -11.30 those children will have the opportunity to meet the players after the blitz is over. For those playing from 12noon – 2pm please arrive early enough to meet the players prior to your blitz.
