Fixtures and results

Seniors – The Universal Graphics JFC Quarter Final will take place this Saturday 28 September in Latton with a 2pm throw in. We urge everyone to come out and support the team in the quarter final.

Minors – The minors secured a draw away to Rockcorry in the final group game of the championship on the scoreline Rockcorry 3-9 Drumhowan 2-12. This means a semi final date away to Cremartin this Sunday 29 September with a 1pm throw in. Once again a big support is vital. A speedy recovery to Mochara Lynch who suffered an injury just before the end – This meant the game being held back for 90 minutes. Thanks to the Rockcorry medic and Aoife Lennon who looked after him until the ambulance arrived.

U12s – The U12s had a Division 3 shield final appearance against neighbours Aughnamullen last Sunday 22 September in Cremartin. This was definitely a game of 2 halves as Drumhowan led 2-7 to 1-4 at half time but Aughnamullen controlled the 2 half to run out winners on a 2-9 to 3-12 scoreline.

Brigid O’ Neills -play in the Intermediate Championship Final where Carrickmacross will provide the opposition. This will take place this Sunday 29 September at 2pm in St. Tiarnach’s Park Clones as part of a double header with the Senior Final Emyvale VS Magheracloone. Good luck to everyone involved

Bingo – thanks to all who ran and came to play and support the Bingo last Friday 20 September. Next date will be Friday October 25.

Speedy Recovery – to U16 player James Kingham who is recovering after a recent accident.

U16 Finals – there was a large crowd at the U16 lady finals in Drumhowan last weekend where Scotstown and Inniskeen emerged victorious over Magheracloone and Monaghan Harps respectively. Thanks to all our stewards, workers and helpers.

 

Retrofitting and Grants Information Night – will take place in the community centre on Wednesday 9 October at 8pm

Sports Capital Grant – Drumhowan are delighted to receive the news that the club will be awarded a €75,839 grant towards the development of a walking track. and LED lights This along with the money saved from the OsKaRs will ensure that this development will start in the near future. Thanks to everyone who made this happen.
