Club Notes 25/9/18
Eurotech Junior Football League Cup  –  The Seniors eventually get to play Clones this season in the penultimate round of the League Cup. Throw in time this Saturday  29th of September in Clones  is  at 5.30pm.  A win would guarantee a home semi final.  Let’s get out and support the team at the home of Ulster Football.
Mallon Foods U17 Division 2 Championship Final  – All roads lead to Castleblayney next Wednesday night when St. Patrick’s will take on Clan na Gael, the Toome and Oram combination.  All support will be welcomefor the 7.30pm throw in.  Last Sunday 23rd September  in the League  they overcame Emyvale on a 1 -12 to  0-8 scoreline.

 

U11 Dan Markey tournament was a great success today with the weather playing its part and giving us a fine Autumn day. After competitive and a close set of group games where everyone had three games we had the finals In the Plate Final. Cremartin over came Eire Og. In the Shield Final Rockcorry had narrow win over Doohamlet. Finally in the Cup final parish derby Drumhowan emerged winners over Ballybay with goals being the difference. Thanks to all the clubs who attended and we hope everyone enjoyed their day. 
Thanks also to all who helped on the pitch , our 3 refs and massive thanks to the ladies in the kitchen who fed over 200 people . Thanks also to Drury’s centra and Gerry Quinn Butchers who supplied some of the food along with the parents of the Drumhowan children.
Juvenile Trip –  The Juveniles  head to Belfast with the U11 to U15 panels on Saturday October 13th to  play a challenge match against St. Enda’s Glengormley and then attend the European Champions Cup Rugby match in  Kingspan Stadium, Ravenhill on that evening between Ulster and The Leicester Tigers.
U14 Indoor Blitz –  The club  have entered an Ulster Indoor Blitz that takes place in the Meadowbank Arena in Magherafelt on two different Saturdays. First one takes place on Saturday 20th October and second one is on 24th of November.
Outdoor training for Under 11 , 13 and 15 teams finished up on Monday evening gone past. The year will go down as highly successful with both our Under 11 and 15 sides competing very well in their leagues and the season highlight being the U13 side capturing a Division 2 double. Well done to all our players on their commitment and dedication and to their parents for keeping them coming. Big thanks also to all our coaches who put in a lot of time and effort working with all our juvenile teams.
Stewards – The club hosts  host the Mallon Foods  U17 Division 1  Championship Final between Latton and Donaghmoyne  this Sunday morning at the early start time of 11am . Usual stewards and helpers needed from 10am please.
