Seniors –  Drumhowan 1-13 Oram 2-7  Drumhowan continued on their winning run with a hard fought 2 point win over Oram last weekend. Drumhowan played some good football in the first 45 minutes and opened up a nine point lead. However after that the team was guilty of over elabaration and trying to score goals instead of knocking over a few points to maintain our lead. Oram bagged 2 goals and we were hanging on waiting for the long whistle and survived a few goalmouth scrambles to emerge winners. Next game is against Killevan On Sunday August 12th as we close down for the break now.

Reserves  Drumhowan had a good week picking up 3 points in two tightly contested games. We picked up a one point win over Donaghmoyne on Monday week last and then had a share of the spoils with Ballybay on Wednesday last on scoreline of Drumhowan 0-11 Ballybay 2-5. This was a game where our shooting let us down.

U-16’s  St Pats 6-20 Seans 3-4   The 16 squad returned to winning ways with a comfortable victory on Thursday night last. They play Maghercloone away on this Saturday evening at 5pm in the final game in the league.

U-14.s  Drumhowan lost to tabble toppers Fergal O Hanlons last week. Next game is against Monaghan Harps on Saturday August 11th.

U-12,s  Drumhowan 1-7  Latton 1-7  Drumhowan and Latton fought out a closely contested game on Saturday last. Latton were on top in the first half and went in four points ahead. However this Drumhowan team fought tooth and nail in the second half to pull Latton back. This was shown by players like Joseph Duffy who emerged out of defence with ball after ball and by Cormac Duffys hatrick of diving blocks a skill we rarely see any more. Drumhowan layed siege to the Latton goal and a combination of the crossbar twice and some strong defending by Latton kept us out. However up popped Patrick Quinn went by his man and planted a left foot screamer to the net to gain Drumhowan a deserved draw. Next game will be a shield semi final against Eire Og in mid August. Team  Niall Markey, Joseph Duffy, Gerard Quinn, Daniel Tomany, Dara Mc Elearney, Patrick Quinn, Lee Traynor, Shay Traynor, Cormac Duffy, Aodhann Brennan, Cait Brennan, Subs Mark Tomany, Ciara Mc Adam, Angie Mc Guirk,Lorna Mc Guirk.
