Universal Graphics JFC –  the week has finally arrived. This Sundy 28th September Drumhowan will take on our near neighbours Blackhill in the final of the JFC which takes place in Inniskeen at 4pm. It will be preceded by the Maguire International Div3 MFC  Final between Corduff and Latton . Admission on the day will be €13. Please come out and support the team as they attempt to win a 6th JFC title.
 
Breakfast Morning  – as part of the fundraising in preparation for our JFC Final we held a breakfast morning last Sunday 21st September. Around 300 people got breakfast.We would like to thank all who helped prepare and serve the food. We would also like to thank the following for providing food, most of it sponsored. – Gerry Mc Elroy- Gerry’s Take Away, Stephen Drury – Centra Ballybay,  Gavin Sheridan, John  Reilly, Lakeland Dairies, Town  of Monaghan Co-Op, Carol Sloan, Gerry Duffy and Fannings Bakery. We would also like to thank Gerry Quinn for providing the bamborees for keeping the food warm. To anyone we have forgotten thanks. Most importantly thanks to all who came and ate.
 
Eurotech JFL  Last Saturday evening 20th September we took on Scotstown,. Despite a lot of possession we never really pulled away and at the end there was only 5 points in it. The full time score was  Drumhowan 0 – 18 Scotstown 2 – 7 Scorers were Kevin Mooney 0 – 8 David Millar 0 -3 Kieran Mooney  0 – 3 Anthony Mulligan 0 – 2 Niall Mooney. 0 – 1 Aiden Quinn 0 – 1   Only one point now separates us in 5th place and Toome in 4th with two games left in the Eurotech JFL.
 
 
Under 11  – We travelled to Emyvale on Saturday last to take part in the BC Blitz. This year we were placed in the cup competiton. We played Fintona from Tyrone first up and lost by four points. We then had a four point win over Clontibret before going under to a strong Emyvale side by five points in the final game. We missed out on the quarter finals on score difference. Well done to the players on the day and thanks to the Emyvale club for their hospitality and the invite to the tournament.

Under 10 – We have the final Go Games blitz of the season on this Saturday morning in Donaghmoyne. All players should be in Donaghmoyne for 9.40am and blitz will be over at 11.50. Can we have a full attendance at our last Go Games of 2014.

Under 6-8-10,  We had our final Monday evening session of the season this past week. Thanks to all our players who turned out in such great numbers all year. Also thanks to all parents for taking them and encouraging them to play Gaelic Games. Special thanks to our coaches who give up so much of their free time to look after the youngsters. Our under 6 squad were excellently looked after all year by Catherine O Neill, Lorraine Duffy and Grainne Duffy. All players were presented with Certificates on Monday last. Our Under 8 panel were expertly trained by Brendan Treanor ,Mark Duffy and Kevin Curran. Our Under 10 side were coached by Aidan Doherty, Derek Barry and Donal Mc Adam. Well done and thanks to all. Remember to keep active, fit and keep practising the skills you learned all year over the winter season  !
