Club Notes 23/7/24

 

Fixtures & Results
Seniors – The Eurotech JFL semi final will take place this Saturday 27 July away to Toome with a 7pm throw. This will be the last game before the championship. All support is greatly welcomed.

Bs – The Bs played their final game of the season last Wednesday 17 July with Clones the visitors emerging victorious on a 2-18 to 2-11 scoreline. The club would like to thank Hugh Markey and Bill Ross for managing the team this year, Paudie McGeough for his assistance and Lorraine Hanratty for her first aid support – very much appreciated by the team and club.

Minors – Last Tuesday 23 July the minors played their Div 4 League Shield semi final in Smithborough. The full time score was Na Mullaí Sarsfields 4-22 Drumhowan 1-17. Next game for this group will be in the championship.

U16s – Last Thursday 18 July St. Kevin’s had a victory in round 1 of the division 3 championship. Full time score was Latton 1-10 St. Kevin’s 2-14. Next game will be at home to Rockcorry on Thursday 1 August.

U14s – This Thursday 25 July (tonight) the U14s will be away to Rockcorry with a 7.30pm throw in.

U12s – The U12s are away to Doohamlet this Saturday 27 July with a 12 noon throw in.

Rounders – The ladies had a busy week with games at home to Inniskeen and away to Carryduff. They were victorious in both. The last game will be against Carrickmacross.

Congratulations – to our former secretary Tara Quinn who was married last Saturday. We wish her and her new husband Peter Deery many years of happiness.

Car wash fundraiser The u12 boys are organising a car wash at the Centre on Saturday 3 August to help fundraise for their team event. Please come along and support. Keep an eye out on social media for more details over the coming week.

Good luck to the Armagh team for this Sunday as they take on Galway in the All Ireland Final – there’s a good number of Armagh blood in the club.

Draw for All Ireland tickets – congratulations to Hughie Duffy and Conal Duffy who were our winners of the Hurling tickets last week.  Draw for the football tickets taking place this week – all fully paid FOD members are automatically entered.
