Celebrating the 90’s treble championship success this Saturday, Nov 26th at 8pm. A reunion night to remember. A 1991 Junior Championship win and the two Intermediate Championships in ’93 & ’97. Great night guaranteed with dancing to Mickey the Butcher. Tickets are €20 and can be bought from any committee member including Seamus Duffy, Gerry Finnegan, Dympna Mulligan and Donal Mc Adam. Crocus Movember Challenge As you may know, Padraig Sherry is taking the Movember challenge on behalf of the club in aid of Crocus Cancer support. This is an effort by the GAA to support Men’s Health. On Saturday evening, at the reunion, Padraig and Gavin Sheridan will be doing a collection for the Crocus organisation. Please support if you can.
Tuesday social ballroom dancing commenced on Tues, Nov 8th at 8pm. It will run every Tuesday for 4 weeks in Drumhowan centre. All welcome.
Thursday Jiving The local Macra Na Feirme group, the 3 Parishes Macra, is running a 6-week jiving programme every Thursday until the 1st of December in the Drumhowan community centre. Time: 8-9:15pm. Macra members: €40 for 6 weeks or €8 per class. Non-Macra members: €50 for 6 weeks or €10 per class. Classes are open to everyone.
Save the dates Commitee members from the Drumhowan Community Group are busy organising events in December and January. On Sunday, December 11th, there will be a Sing-a-thon singalong held in Drumhowan. It will certainly get everyone into the Christmas spirit. Details will be shared when they are finalised. On January 2nd, we will host a Tractor, Lorry, Vintage Car and Bike run. Registration will commence at 11am and start at 12:30.
