Two goals in the early minutes of the second-half were the scores that helped Eire Og to victory in this low-key and scrappy affair that was played in bright but breezy conditions in Scotstown on Saturday evening last the 19th of August. Eire Og who were the more dominant team for the bulk of this match and were only behind once in the entire contest and that after 6 minutes when Drumhowan opened their account with a goal by Aidan Duffy but by half-time Eire Og had turned that around to lead by 3 points. By the end of the 3rd quarter Eire Og were 9 points ahead and while the team battled to the end, the best they could manage was to reduce the deficit to 6 by the full time whistle. Manor Farm U14 Div 3 League Semi Final – The U14s play Doohamlet on Tuesday evening next August 29th in Doohamlet at 6-45pm. Again we appeal for good support for this young side who have gave great excitement all year.
Gerry’s Prepared Veg U12 Div 2 Cup – The next match in the round robin series iis n Clontibret on this Saturday 26th August at noon. With both teams winning their opening match it should be an exciting affair. In the earlier meeting during the season Clontibret ran out easy winners so the team has it all to do. Last match in the group is at home to Aghabog on Saturday September 9th.
GR8 Go Games U10 – It was a busy weekend for this group as on Thursday night last they hosted Latton where two games were on at once meaning all players were playing. Then on Saturday they were in Clones for a GR8 Go Games Blitz where they played Carrick, Harps and Ballybay.
