AGM – took place on Thursday the 9th of November 2011. The following officers were elected Chairman – Gerry Finnegan Vice – Chairperson – John Mc Ardle Secretary – Noel Duffy Assistant Secretary (Registrar) – Dympna Mulligan Treasurer – John Reilly Assistant Treasurer – Francis Mc Ginnity PRO – left open Player’s Rep – Liam Mc Guirk Children’s Officer – Left Open Coaching Officer – Left Open Development Officer – Tommy Mc Ardle Co. Board Delegate –Noel Duffy.
It was also announced on the night that the club was awarded with a Club Maith Gold Mark – the 1st in Co. Monaghan and 6th in Ulster. If anyone is interested in the Open Positions or knows anyone that is please contact Chairman Gerry Finnegan.
November Club Executive Meeting – this Thursday night (24th) at 8.30pm. All new members please attend as we begin to prepare for 2012
Scor na nOg
Drumhowan GAA club took part in Scor na nOg semi final last Friday night in Tullycorbet Community Centre. MC on the night was Declan Treanor. The Club was represented in 6 competitions and won through in each of them to the Co Final which will be held in Corcaghan Community Centre on Friday night next 25 November at 8pm. Congratulations to all the competitors and best wishes to them in the Co Final. Special thanks to their trainers and mentors who work tirelessly with them in training and preparing them for the competitions: Gerard Mc Quaid, Francis Mc Mahon, Miriam Mc Mahon, Pauline Grogan, Anthony Brennan, Angela Markey and Ciara Moroney. The club will be represented in Figure Dancing (Angie Mc Guirk, Lorna Mc Guirk, Christina Sherry, Aine Grogan, Sinead Grogan, Cait Brennan); Recitation (Patrick Duffy);Musical Group (Stephen Mc Mahon, Colm Mc Mahon, Eimear Quinn, Conor Quinn, Finbar Brennan); Novelty Act (Cait Brennan, Christina Sherry, Finbar Brennan, Blinne Treanor, Ryan Duffy, Daniel Tomany, Colm Mc Mahon, Aine Grogan); Question Time (Colm Mc Mahon, Stephen Mc Mahon, Patrick Duffy); Set Dancing (Aine Grogan, Christina Sherry, Megan Treanor, Sinead Grogan, Angie Mc Guirk, Orlaith Brennan, Lauren Duffy, Blinne Treanor). Drumhowan GAA club wishes to thank Tullycorbet Community Centre for hosting the event and for all who helped in any way on the night.
