Junior Championship Final– Drumhowan won the Universal Graphics Junior Football Championship with a deserved one-point win over Emyvale in Sunday’s final at Scotstown. Colm Lambe scored 1-5 for Drumhowan, who overcame the concession of three goals, including two in the space of a minute, towards the end of the third quarter to secure a quick return to intermediate football. It wasn’t a one-man show, however, as Kevin and Kieran Mooney, Kieran McElroy, John Paul O’Neill and David Millar also played central roles. Full time score Drumhowan 1-11, Emyvale 3-4. Junior Bs- The B team will face Cremartin in the Final of the league this Saturday 6th October at 4.30pm. Please come out again with your colours and show your support to the boys!

Under 14 Final – Our U-14 team will play Fergal O Hanlons in the final on Saturday in Rockcorry at 12pm. The team have been working hard in preparation for the final and will be facing strong opposition in O Hanlons. Best of luck to the team and management of Padraig Duffy, Francis Mc Mahon, Paul Mc Guirk and Anthony Brennan. Please come out and show your support as we try to capture another piece of silverware.

 Junior Final – Our Under 8 & 10 squads played at half time in Scotstown on Sunday last. They enjoyed the occasion and the opportunity to play in front of a large crowd.

 Clontibret Under 8/10 Tournament– We have been invited to play in a 4 team tournament in Clontibret this Saturday for both our under 8 and under 10 sides. All players to be in Clontibret for 1-45pm and it will finish around 4-30pm. The Monday night training sessions have now finished for the season as players and management take a well-earned rest. Thanks to all the players for turning up in such numbers and to all the coaches who helped throughout the season.

Children’s Club Coaching – Wednesday 10th October @ 7:30pm in Cloghan.   The aim of this session is to help coaches plan programmes for children for U.5’s involving the innovative Gaelic Start programme, U.8’s the Fundamentals and the Learn  To Train phase i.e. U. 10’s and U.12’s.  The session will be an information session on what to coach children at these various age groups.
