Membership for 2023-2024 is now open. We encourage all members and players to pay before St. Patrick’s weekend to be entered into our early bird draw for €250. Congratulations to Caolan Reilly on winning the Fresher A final with DCU last week and for also starting with the Monaghan U20 squad to win over Westmeath last Saturday.
Seniors Training in preparation for the coming season is currently underway. First senior match is set for mid-April with championship starting in August.
Reserves The team management for the season ahead are two former club stalwarts. Hughie Markey & Bill Ross. The first game will take place around St Patrick’s weekend.
U18– We are planning on entering an U18 team this season. Games to take place midweek in April & May.
U17 football will commence in late June.
U15. This year we have amalgamated with neighbour’s Doohamlet under the name of St Kevin’s. Training continues Monday evenings at 7pm. Games will start around the end of March.
U13 training starts at 7pm next Monday evening.
This Saturday we host the Ulster Ladies U16 championship game between Monaghan and Cavan at 2pm. Helpers & stewards needed from 1pm as a big crowd is expected. Good luck to Katie Mc Adam who is the team vice-captain for the season ahead.
We had the Dublin U16 side in Drumhowan last Saturday and we got a lot of favourable comments from Dublin supporters re the hospitality , facilities & the welcome on offer.
Step Challenge Over the 5 weeks we as a group walked 15,212.2km finishing in 23rd place in Ulster, an improvement of 5 places since last year. Once again, we finished 1st in Monaghan over 5,000km more than Clones who finished in 56th place. In total 58 people took part, 34 female and 24 males. 22 people reached 250km or more while a further 25 got to the 125km mark. We will have the two draws (€100 and €50) for these people before the final night of the Lights Up this Wednesday night the 22nd of February at 6.45pm in the Community Centre. We will also remember the late Mary Duffy, Drumhowan who passed away on the 19th of September last. As well as being an active member of the executive Mary really took to the Step Challenge and never missed a night at the Lights Up Membership!
 Ladies Rounders commences this Thursday at 7pm. All females age over 16 most welcome to join this social a fun Gaa sport.
