Seniors  – lost in the Championship  to Currin 2- 5 to 3-13 after very poor performance. They have received a bye in the back door.  They played Clones last night Wednesday in the league and will play Truagh at home on Saturday evening at 7

Minors – Training continues for the league semi final and the start of the championship. We were down to play Clontibret away in the first round of the championship on Friday August 30th at 6.30pm. However  the championship format has now changed to straight Div 2 knockout and championship was redrawn  at Co. Committee meeting on Monday night. We now play Cremartin at home in the quarter final with the winners playing Latton or Donaghmoyne in the semi final. Dates have yet to be finalised.

U-16  All roads lead to Aughnamullen this evening Thursday at 7pm for the replay of the championship final against Clontibret. The lads have been training hard over the past few weeks and will hope to get off to a better start than they did the first day. We would urge all supporters to come out and support the boys as St Pats seek our first Division 1 trophy since the Minor Championship in 1987.

Under 14 – This team had a good win over Rockcorry last week in a closely contested game Final Score Drumhowan 5-10 Rockcorry 3-7. This game was won with a strong second quarter when Drumhowan led by 4-4 to 0-5. However a gallant Rockcorry side fought back but Drumhowan held out in the end. This now leaves the boys in the semi final where the opposition will be Aghabog.

Under 12  The final league game was on Monday night against Ballybay. Final Score  Drumhowan 9-10  Ballybay  4 – 4.There will be a toss of a coin now between Inniskeen and Drumhowan to decide what team goes straight to the final and who goes to a semi final where Emyvale await.

Under 8/10  We had Cootehill Celtics as visitors to Mc Keown Park on Saturday morning last where we played games at both under 8 and 10 levels. We fielded a youthful under 8 side and the players all enjoyed themselves and gave it their all in a match played over 3 periods. The under 10 game was a real ding dong affair and after 50 minutes football it ended up a draw. Again the Drumhowan team gave as good as they got and came back to snatch a draw at the end with a couple of well worked scores. Thanks to Cootehill for the games. This Saturday morning our Under 10 side take part in a Blitz in Clontibret. All players should be in Clontibret for 9.40am

Training continues for all players on Monday evenings at 7pm.

Best of luck to Monaghan Minors in the All Ireland semi final on Sunday. Please go and support the boys as its not too often we see Monaghan playing in semi finals in Croke Park.
