Club Notes 20/1/15

Scór na Óg Ulster Final – Congratulations to our Instrumental Group who captured the Ulster Scór na  nÓg Title once  again, this time in Threemilehouse. 3 in a row a great achievement Well done to Tomasina Mc Ginnity, Stephen Mc Mahon, Colm Mc Mahon, Finbar Brennan and Conor Quinn. The famous five now go on to represent county and province in the City West, Dublin on Saturday  the 14th of February. They will be joined there earlier in the day  with the Quiz Team which includes 3 of the Instrumentalists Colm, Stephen, Finbar along with Patrick Duffy. Hard luck   to the Céilí  Dancers – Aine Grogan, Christina Sherry, Lorna Mc Guirk, Sinead Grogan, Blinne Treanor, Angie Mc Guirk, Orlaith Brennan, Cait Brennan who bravely competed but narrowly missed out.ScorUlsterfinal15

National Club Draw – can all those members with tickets please return them to Club Treasurer John Reilly as soon as they read this.

Club Presentation Dinner Night – will take place in the Community Centre on Saturday 7th February.Guests of Honour will be the All Ireland Winning Scór na nÓg Group ,the 2014 Junior Champions and the 1953 – 2013  All Star Team. Tickets are now available from any committee member. Don’t miss out on a good night.

Co. Awards Night – will take place in the Hillgrove Hotel this  Saturday 24th January. David Millar will be receiving his Junior Player of the Year Award.  Tickets are €30. Anyone interested in attending should contact Club Chairman Martin Mc Elearney as soon as they read this message.

Fundraising.  –  This Friday night the 23rd of January in the Pearse Brothers Centre St. Patricks will hold a fundraising Table Quiz. Tables of 4 are €40 and the Quiz starts at 9pm. Please support what is going to be a big year for St. Patricks.

Then on Saturday night the 24th of January Tullycorbet  Community Centre will be holding their fundraising dance. Please support. Tickets only €10.

Sympathy –  to the Farnan Family on the deaths of Michael and Seán, Corvally, Braddox.
