Club Notes 30/1/18

OsKaRs – On Wednesday evening last the 24th of January  all the budding actors met with Kevin Rowe from Kevin Rowe Events who will be running the show and putting our actors through their paces over the next 6 weeks. Kevin explained the process to all and showed some video clips of previous shows he filmed. This went down well and has got everyone excited. We will be filming 7 short scenes from well known popular films that will be shown on the night in The Glencarn Hotel on 7th April..

Club chairman Martin then explained everything regarding fundraising etc and answered any queries in this regard. Tickets will be on sale from the  actors from early February.
Thanks to all who supplied refreshments on the night and especially George Wallace for providing the buns.

The County Board are running a Foundation course on 9th /10th February 2018. In order to work with juveniles you must do the course first. So anyone interested in helping out should contact Cormac Duffy on 087-0963941 to book onto these.

Sympathy  is extended to the Duffy family –  Cornahoe (Hughie, Seamus, Joseph, Margaret and Catheriona) on the death of Rosie last Tuesday 23rd January who was laid to rest in Ballintra last Friday. Rosie was a lady who lived all her life between Drumguilla and Cornahoe – a Drumhowan lady in the true sense of the word.
