Every Step Counts Challenge: Well done to 91 members who participated in the Irish Life Every Step Counts Challenge. As a club we reached our target of 4000km very early on in the challenge and we have reached 8th place out of 182 clubs by covering over 34000km as a club to date! This is an excellent achievement by the club and everyone who took part should be extremely proud.

Sympathy: The club wishes to extend their sympathies to Francie, Sarah, Michelle, Mike and Joe Mooney and extended family Oghill, Doohamlet on the death of Sean Mooney who died in January in England. Ar dheis a raibh a anam dílis.

National Club Draw: We ask everyone to make a big effort to sell their tickets for the National Club Draw this month. This is an opportunity to raise funds for the club and update our current gym equipment. Prizes include a car, €2000 and All-Ireland tickets. If you are interested in purchasing a ticket, please contact any club player or committee member. Every little helps!

Young Volunteer of the Year- Congratulations to our Coaching Officer Cormac Duffy who is one of only 2 Monaghan nominees for the 2020 Young Volunteer of the Year Award. Cormac is a very worthy nominee for this award due to his active involvement in coaching various underage teams with the club while studying in Carlow, whilst also undertaking his role of reserve team goalkeepers and occasionally goalkeeper with the Senior team. We wish Cormac the very best of luck with this nomination!

Fertiliser Spreader- The club are looking to use a small spreader for the pitches. If you have one or know where we could avail of one please contact any committee member.

Tom’s Fundraiser- Well done to Tom McGuirk who competed his fundraiser for the Mater Foundation by running 100 miles in the month of February. Donations can still be donated via the facebook page “Tom’s fundraiser for The Mater Foundation”.
