O’ Duffy Cup Final- The boys played very well in the first half of the O Duffy Cup final v Castleblayney as the dominated most of the first half. A goal by Drumhowan got the boys off to a great first half with Blayney catching up in the final minutes up to half time, half time score 1-4 to 7 points. Blayney, however took charge in the second half of the game, dominating throughout and won the game with a final score of 16 points to Drumhowan’s 1-6.
Well Done – to the under 8 squad it was off to Blackhill to take on the mighty Blayney Faughs at half time in the O Duffy Cup Final after performing in the Drumhowan Olympics earlier in the day (see below), again they performed well and by reports all slept well on Sunday night.
Many thanks – to all the supporters who came out to cheer Drumhowan on and a special word of thanks to Raymond Watters who provided refreshments to the team and supporters after the game.
Drumhowan Olympics – Great fun and enjoyment was had on Sunday last at the Drumhowan Olympics and the weather held out very well. Many thanks to all who attended and participated in the many games that was on offer on the day. Also, huge congratulations to the ladies team who wiped the floor with the Drumhowan men’s team in the half and half game, the men learned a lot from the ladies!!
Minors – The St Pats team complete their league program with a game away to Blackhill On Tuesday 26th at 8pm
U-16 – St Pats play Magheracloone in Drumhowan at 7pm on tonight Thursday 21st. The team now has matches on a weekly basis as the competition starts moving to the business end of the season
U-14 – Drumhowan 10-15 Emyvale 3-13 the boys had a great win at the weekend and hopefully can build on this performance
U-12 – Drumhowan play Ballybay in the league on next Monday night in Drumhowan at 7pm. This promises to be a ding dong affair with local bragging rights on offer. Please come out and support the team
Sports Day U-10 & U-8 – These teams had games against Rockcorry and Doohamlet on Sunday last. Blessed with good weather these young stars of tomorrow put on a great display of all the skills of the game. Thanks to Rockcorry and Doohamlet for taking part and Aiden and Josh who referred the games. After the matches all teams were presented with medals.
Go Games – There will be a blitz for both under 8 and under 10 in Tyholland on Thursday June 28th @ 7.30pm. A bus will be organised to take players to the match. More details at training.
