Championship – Drumhowan 2-9 Eire Og 1-11  We ran out one point winners over Eire Og in the Junior Championship on Friday night last. Early goals from Kieran Deerey and Michael Atkinson proved the difference in the end. This was a hard working team display where every player done their bit. U-16  Aughnamullen 2-14 St Pats 4-7   The u-16 side were defeated by a point up in Aughnamullen last Thursday night. There was never much between the sides but a strong finish saw by Aughnamullen saw them run out one point winners. St Pats will be dissapointed with their performance and a poor level of workrate all over the pitch. They play Sean Mc Dermotts in Drumhowan tonight Thursday at 7pm and follow that with an away game in Maghercloone on Monday next also at 7pm where points are vital to make the semi finals.

U-14  Drumhowan 10-17 Aghabog 9-18 – After getting the calculators out that amounts to a 2 point victory for Drumhowan. This was a thrill a minute game between two evenly matched teams where there was only a kick of the ball in it. The scores were level at half time at 5-7 to 4-10 and it was in the third quarter that Drumhowan put some daylight between the sides. In the final quarter Aghabog came back again and it took some good saves by Tom Mc Guirk and the final whistle to see us home. In defence Patrick and Joseph Duffy and with Niall Markey all worked hard against a lively attack. Midfielders Owen Quinn and Finbarr Brennan covered every blade of grass and chipped in with a few scores. Up front Colm Mc Mahon was our main threat , helped by Stefan Farrell and the youthful Patrick Quinn and Aodhan Brennan. The team was to play O Hanlons on Tuesday evening last.

U-12   Drumhowan went down to a five point defeat to Killanny last week. However the team performed well especially during the second half. They play Latton away on Saturday at noon.
