Eurotech JFL –  Last Sunday the 15th of May the Senior Footballers made the journey  to Aghabog to play the locals.  A bad start was made to the game with Aghabog scoring 1-1  very early on. Drumhowan replied with 4  unanswered points before Aghabog scored a goal from the penalty spot.  Drumhowan eventually went ahead  and lead  by the slimmest margin at half time with the score Drumhowan  0-9 Aghabog 2-2. A better second half followed with Drumhowan scoring another 14 points to Aghabog’s 1-5 to leave the full time score Aghabog 3-7  to Drumhowan 0-23. Next game in the league  is a home game to Toome on Sunday 29th May with a throw in time of 2pm
 
Platinum Tanks – RFC Crawley Cup Semi Final – this Saturday the 21st May the Bs make the short journey to Emerald Park, Blackhill to take on the home team in the Crawley Cup with a throw in time of 7pm. Rockcorry visit Páirc Mhic Eoin next Wednesday 25th May in the next round of the league with an 8pm throw in
Minor Football League – last Tuesday the 10th of May  the minors had a high scoring win over Clontibret with  a full time scoreline of St. Patrick’s 2-17 Clontibret 1-17. The last game before the exam break was a home game to  the Harps on Tuesday 17th of May with a 7.30pm
Gerry’s Prepared Veg U16 Division 1 – The U16s had a good win last Thursday night in Drumhowan over Scotstown with a full time scoreline in Drumhowan St. Patrick’s 6-4 Scotstown 1-9. The next game is against joint table toppers  Aughnamullen this Thursday 19th May with a 7.30pm throw in.
Gerry’s Prepared Veg U14 Division 3  –  The U14s  are at home to Aughnamullen on Saturday at noon. All players please be in dressing rooms for 11.30am. Also the club  appeal sfor people to come out and support the boys.
 
Gerry’s Prepared Veg U12  Division 3   – The U12’s  played Seans at home on Monday evening in the first game of the league.  Drumhowan  started brightly and opened up a good half time lead with some good scores. In the second half we dropped our performance levels but got the win on a full time scoreline  of 7 – 13 to 2 – 7
Next game for this team is next week at home to Inniskeen and this may be changed to Monday night at 7.30pm so check website for details.
 
U8 Go Games –  The u8s  travelled to Cloghan on Saturday morning last for a blitz. They had three games against Aughnamullen, Emyvale and Aghabog and  played some good football over the three games. Some more players made their debut in their blue and gold. Again the  club asks all players to continue practising  the basic kicking and catching skills at home. The  panel on the day was  Caolan Treanor, Cian Mc Adam, Darragh Mc Adam,Tomas Goodman, Emma Duffy, Katie Mc Adam, Nathan Mc Dermott, Feargal Quinn, Jason Sheridan, Francis Conlan and Thomas Conlan. Next blitz for this group is in Rockcorry in early June followed by another one in Drumhowan two weeks after that.
 
Community Games U10 – The parish Tullycorbett side  had a good win over Donagh in Emyvale last week. They were due to travel to Tyholland  on Wednesday night and will also have a home game v Truagh in Drumhowan next week.
Monday Training – This continues for all teams from U6 to U14 each Monday from 7-8pm. New players very welcome. Also any parent or teenager who would like to help out would be appreciated. Please contact any coach.
Assistant PRO – the club are looking for a young person  or not so young to help with match reports at times during the year. This will be a good opportunity for any person who has a keen interest in writing or journalism to gain valuable work experience. Training will be provided by Monaghan GAA . Sympathy – the club offers its sympathy to the Mc Donnell Family on the death of their aunt  Madeline Forde who was buried last Tuesday in Castleblayney.
