Club Notes 16/7/24

 

Fixtures & Results 
Seniors – The seniors emerged victorious in the league quarter final over Eire Óg in Páirc Mhic Eoin last Sunday afternoon on a 1-14 to 1-13 scoreline. This result means an away league semi-final to Toome to be played on Friday 26 or Saturday 27 July.

Bs – The Bs played their final game of the season last night Wednesday 17 July with Clones the visitors to Páirc Mhic Eoin. Please check the website for a result.

Minors – Last Tuesday 16 July the minors were away to Doohamlet with the full-time score Doohamlet 2-16 Drumhowan 4-15. Next game will be a shield semi-final – opposition, date and time weren’t known at time of writing, Please check website for more details.

U16s – St. Kevin’s will play in group 2 of the division 3 championship. Corduff, Latton and Rockcorry will provide the opposition. This Thursday 18 July (tonight) at 7.30pm they are away to Latton.

U14s – Last Wednesday 10 July the U14s commenced their Cup competition with a home game against Latton. Full time scoreline was Drumhpwan 3-10 Latton 4-14. Next Thursday 25 July they will be away to Rockcorry with a 7.30pm throw in.

U12s – The U12s were victorious over Aghabog at Mc Keown Park last Saturday 13 July on a 8 -15 to 6-10 scoreline. Next game is away to Doohamlet on Saturday 27 July.

Rounders –  The ladies take on Inniskeen this evening, 18 July, at home at 7pm.

Sponsorship – After the League Quarter Final last Sunday,  there were a number of sponsorship presentations. Paddy Mulligan on behalf of Mulligan Transport presented a set of away jerseys to the senior team. Stephen Connolly from CAS accountants presented a set of training tops to the senior squad. The club are extremely grateful to both companies for their sponsorship and continued support.

Friends of Drumhowan if not already done so, please ensure membership is paid up to be included in the Draw for All Ireland tickets. Monies can be given to Clare or any committee member.

Sympathies – we extend sympathy to Grainne McElearney and family on the passing of her father, Gerard Lappin, last Saturday 13 July. May he rest in peace.
