Seniors: The season came to an end for the Senior team on Sunday last as they lost the League Semi Final to Toome with a final score of 3-12 to 11 points. We would like to thank the players for their hard work and determination over the past year and a big thanks to the management team of Tony Collins, Martin McElearney and Anthony Brennan for their dedication to the team.
County Call Ups: Well done to our 4 team members who have been named on the County Minor Panel for 2022. Jonathan Lavelle, David Traynor, Conor Curran and Killian McAdam. This is the first time since 1987 that there have been 4 boys from the club called onto the Co. Minor Panel. We wish the boys all the best in the year ahead. We also had 3 players who attended the U20 County trials- Aodhán Brennan, Gerard Quinn and Caolán Reilly. Also, well done to Tom Doherty who has been called to the U16 Development Squad.
U13s/U15s: Our U13-15 panels had their end of season outing on Saturday last. They played some ball on Astro in Our Lady’s school Castleblayney before heading on to GR8 for bowling and food. An enjoyable evening was had by all. Thanks to all our players & coaches for an enjoyable season. Remember to keep active and fit over the next two months.
Coaching Course: Monaghan Coaching and Games will be delivering a foundation football and hurling course before Christmas. Theory element of the course will be completed online and practical elements in person. Anyone who would like to get involved in the coaching must have the foundation course completed. AGM: Our club AGM will take place on 26th November. We ask that all nomination forms be sent to Tara by this Saturday evening.
Pitches Closed: Both pitches are now closed for essential year end maintenance.
Date for the Diary: Please keep free Sunday 2nd January 2022 as we will be hosting a tractor, truck, bike and vintage car run. This will be in aid of the car park development.
