Eurotech JFL Cup Semi Final – Drumhowan 0-13 Cremartin 0-15 The senior’s season ended at the semi final stage last Sunday the 14th of October. After making great progress throughout the season they just finished a little short. Drumhowan opened the game slowly and kept in touch due to the accurate free taking of Colm Lambe while Cremartin scores were coming mainly from the free taking of David Hanley and after 27 minutes led by 0-7 to 0-3. However in the remaining 3 minutes of the half points from Paddy Mulligan, Kevin Mooney and another from Colm Lambe left the minimum in it at half time 0- 6 to 0-7. The second half opened as the first half closed and in the opening 5 minutes Drumhowan kicked another three points to go two ahead. At this point Barry Kerr began to exert his influence by getting two points as Cremartin scored four points without reply before Colm Lambe kicked another free. Cremartin were then reduced to 13 in two separate incidents but Drumhowan’s numerical advantage was soon reduced as David Millar received his second yellow with ten minutes left to play. Cremartin began to exert pressure and Drumhowan were kept in the game by a excellent save by Enda Duffy. Cremartin extended their lead to three going into injury time with another two frees from David Hanley. Try as they may Drumhowan couldn’t get the crucial goal they needed and Mark Mc Cabe closed the scoring with a free in the 33rd minute to leave the full time score Drumhowan 0-13 Cremartin 0-13.
