Gerry’s Prepared Veg Under 12  Div 2 Clones 2.12 Drumhowan 2.6  We suffered defeat in St Tiernachs Park on Saturday last to a speedy slick Clones side. Clones started well and took a lead they held onto for the rest of the match. We improved our performance after the break and hit both the cross bar and post near the end as we tried unsuccessfully to score goals. Next game is a home one to table toppers Cremartin on  Saturday 27th June.

Under 10   Drumhowan 3.16 Carrickmacross 2.19 . We had Carrick as opposition at our Sports day on Sunday last. After a thrilling encounter over almost 50 minutes the sides could not be seperated and the game ended in a draw. This was an excellent game played at blistering pace throughout with some brilliant scores, high fielding and whole hearted tackling. Well done to both sides and thanks to Carrick for travelling. After the game both teams recieved medals and we can look foward to a return game in Emmett Park later in the Summer.

Under 8 – This group had a very busy weekend with games on both Saturday and Sunday. We had games on Saturday at the Go Games Blitz in Cloghan against Clontibret, Scotstown, Latton and Carrickmacross. Then on Sunday at the Sports Day we had games against neighbours Aughnamullen and Doohamlet. All clubs had 2 teams meaning all children got playing in front of the large crowd present. Again there was some great football played and well done to all the teams. After the games all children received medals and a well earned drink to cool down. Thanks to all who helped, our coaches and to the four referees who kept control on proceedings. There is a good selection of photographs of the games on the Drumhowan facebook page. Please share them out with friends.
