Platinum Tanks RFL Div 2 – The Bs got the adult season underway on Sunday last the 13th of March when they took on near neighbours Doohamlet at home in Páirc Mhic Eoin.  With time nearly up Drumhowan scored a goal to go 1 up but the lead was short lived when Doohamlet went up the other end and scored a goal deep into injury time to win on a full time scoreline –  Drumhowan  3-8 Doohamlet 2-13. Good luck to management team of Séamus Duffy, Dermot Mc Dermott and Martin Mc Elroy and all the players in the rest of the League. Next game in the Platinum Tanks RFL  is an away game to Tyholland on Saturday 26th March with a throw in time of

 

Eurotech JFL – the Senior team start their league this Sunday 20th March when they travel  to Clones to take on the locals. Throw in time is  2pm so let’s get out and support the club.

 

Gerry’s Prepared Veg U14 Div 3  – Our first game is away to Clontibret at 2pm on Saturday March 26th. There may be a challenge game this weekend and if so you will get details by text.

Gerry’s Prepared Veg  U12 Spring League Zone F –  The season starts on Saturday next the 19th of March for this group when they are at home to Inniskeen at 2pm in the first game in the Spring League. All players should be at the pitch for 1.30 on Saturday. Again  the club asks for all parents and supporters to come out and cheer on the team on Saturday.

 

U8-10 –  Training for these ages resumes this Saturday 19th March from 2-3pm at the pitch. Please wear gum shields to all games and training sessions. We will be changing back to Monday nights once the clocks go forward. New players very welcome. Go Games Blitz commence for Under 10  on Saturday 9th April and Under 8 the following week.

 

Presentation Evening – This was held on Sunday evening last in the Centre where we had a good turnout. Medals were presented to our U12 Division 2 Shield winners along with recognising all our various Scor Winners from Spraoi Scor , Scor na nOg  and Scor Sinsir. Club chairman Martin Mc Elearney thanked all the various musical coaches and mentors with the various Scor Groups and the children on their achievements. He wished our Senior Scor Quiz team the best of luck in the All Ireland Final in the coming weeks. He also congratulated our Under 12 panel and their mentors on their success. He thanked all our coaches from Under 6 up to Minors for all their hard work and the parents for keeping bringing their children to training and games. Thanks also to Gerry Quinn, Gerry Mc Elroy and the parents who supplied and cooked the food on the night. All Registration forms should be handed back in at training this week. All players must re-register for 2016.

Easter  Camps  –  Monaghan Coaching & Games will once again be running Farney Easter Camps.The 3-day camp will take place in Ballybay from Tuesday 29th – Thursday 31st March. The camp will take place from 10am – 2.30pm each day. Boys & girls from 5 – 12 years old are welcome to attend the camp.Each child that attends the camp will receive a free Hoodie. The cost for attending the camp is €40 per child and €35 for additional children from the same family. Pre-Registration is essential for the camp if you want to guarantee your child receiving their hoodie during the camp as Monaghan Coaching and Games cannot guarantee they will receive it, if they only register on the first morning of the camp. You can download the registration form by visiting the Monaghan GAA website at  http://www.monaghangaa.ie/coaching-development/camps/ , download the form, print it off and post it back along with the camp fee to the Monaghan Coaching & Games Office.

Sympathy – the club would like to offer it’s sympathy to Geraldine and Catherine Mc Adam on  the death of their father Petie Mc Eneaney, Carrickatee who was buried last Friday.

National Club Draw – On Friday last the club received the good news that they were the County Club Winner of €1000 in the Draw. We were entered as as a result of selling a minimum of 200 tickets and having all out tickets sold  by the stated date.
