Seniors – Donaghmoyne 1-19 Drumhowan 1-7 – With our relegation having already been decided by our head to head games with Clones we had little to play for on Saturday afternoon last. With our opponents still smarting from their championship exit the previous week it was one way traffic for most of the hour. Our cause wasn’t helped by a raft of missing players and only for strong displays from Enda Duffy, Liam Mc Guirk and Niall Mooney it could have been a lot worse. The final game of the season against Cremartin is down for Sunday week.
U 16 Ulster Club Glen Maghera 3-14 St Pats 1-7 – In the end we were well beaten by our Derry opposition on Saturday last. However midway through the second half we were only two points in arrears but a strong finish by the Glen men saw them run out winners. This team has had a brilliant season winning a Division 1 double and they now progress to the Minor grade where hopes will be high over the next two seasons.
U 15 Blitz – We are taking part in a blitz in Cloghan tonight (Thursday) All players to be in Cloghan for 6.45pm.
U 13 Blitz We took part in this blitz on Thursday night last. We were seeded in the cup section and we had very creditable draws against both Scotstown and Monaghan Harps. We then had a good win over Eire Og before going under to a strong Aughnamullen side. Well done to all our players and management for a good enjoyable nights football.
Coaching Courses – A foundation course will take place On Friday / Sat October 18th /19th. A level one couse will also take place Nov 1st /2nd and 9th. Please see Monaghan website for details.
Spraoi Scor
Good luck to all who are representing the Club in Spraoi Scor in Sean Mac Dermotts Sports Complex, Threemilehouse this Friday, 18th at 7 p.m. The Club will be represented in Figure Dancing, Recitation, Musical Group, Ballad Group, Question Time and Set Dancing. More details to follow next week.
