St Pats Minor and U-16 Squads had their first training session of the season on Sunday week last on the astro turf in Ballybay. The Minor team management for the season is Niall Mc Adam, Dermott Mc Dermott and John Rutledge. They will compete in a tough looking division 2 this year. The Under 16 management team from last season remains in place with Martin Duffy, Gavin Sheridan, Colm Duffy and Enda Monaghan in the hot seat. This team will compete in Division 1. Best of luck to both sets of management and panels for the campaign ahead. The U16 championship draw has taken place, St. Pats will face Scotstown. Training will continue for both teams on Tuesday from 7 until 8 and Thursday from 8 until 9 in Ballybay astro turf. Please bring runners and football boots.

Under 14 & 12 Both these teams commenced training on Monday night last. Under 14s will face Tyholland in the Championship.

Under 8 & 10  Training for these players begin next Monday 18th February at 7pm. Players are asked to bring mouth guards and both boots and runners for the first few weeks as we will be indoors if the weather is unfavourable. Training for the under 6’s will commence in March.

Mouth guards Following the GAA’s Annual Congress in April 2012 a new rule was enacted that made it mandatory to use a mouth guard in all Gaelic football matches and training sessions from January 1st 2013 (for all age grades up to and including minor) and at U21 and Adult level from January 1st 2014.

Chairman- We would like to congratulate and wish David Hurson the very best as he takes on the role of club Chairman.

Sympathy- The club wishes to express sympathy to the family of the late Dominic Harte, Drumlane. We also remember Philip Mc Govern- our Club President who passed away recently. Ar Dheis Dé a Raibh a Anam Dílis.
