Scór na Óg Ulster Final – with the final this Saturday in Threemilehouse at 5pm both the instrumental group and céilí dancers are busy practising in Tullycorbet Community Centre. Its not too often a club is represented in two Ulster Finals the one evening so please come out in support. No excuses this time. Its only 15 mins travel away. We are the host county and the only club representing Monaghan so we have to be heard. Good to luck to the Céilí Dancers – Aine Grogan, Christina Sherry, Lorna Mc Guirk, Sinead Grogan, Blinne Treanor, Angie Mc Guirk, Orlaith Brennan, Cait Brennan and the Instrumental Music Group of Tomasina Mc Ginnity, Stephen Mc Mahon, Colm Mc Mahon, Finbar Brennan. The Club, parish and county are behind you all.
National Club Draw – can all those members with tickets please return them to Club Treasurer John Reilly or the person they received them from ASAP.
Club Executive Meeting – will take place this Thursday 15th January(tonight) at 9pm. Lots of important decisions to be decided upon as we enter a new year.
Club Presentation Dinner Night – will take place in the Community Centre on Saturday 7th February. Tickets available from next week.
Co. Awards Night – will take place in the Hillgrove Hotel on Saturday 24th January. David Millar will be receiving his Junior Player of the Year. Tickets are €30. Anyone interested in attending should contact Club Chairman Martin Mc Elearney by Monday19th of January.
Senior Players Meeting – will take place this Friday evening in the centre at 8.30pm . Anyone interested in playing Junior B or Intermediate Football this year please come along. Start as you mean to continue.
Congratulations – To Enda Duffy in his 2nd competitive match for the County in the Dr. Mc Kenna Cup received the man of the match against Down last Sunday. Also well done to fellow parishioner Drew Wylie who captained the team. Congratulations to Ballybay Community College U14 Team who won the Co. Title last Friday when they overcame Inver College. Our representatives on the team were Joseph Duffy, Patrick Quinn, Daragh Mc Elearney, Niall Markey and Lorcan Halpin. Well done boys.
